Information we collect

• Account data: your name and email address when you register (authentication is handled securely; we never store plaintext passwords).
• Order data, shipping name, address, email, and phone when you place a store order.
• Chart inputs: the date, time, and place text you enter to generate a birth or death chart. Place text is converted to coordinates to compute the chart.
• Automatically collected: basic technical data such as IP address, device/browser information, and usage, via cookies and similar technologies. The analytics part of this only happens if you agree to it. See Cookies below.

How we use your information

• To provide the astrology tools and generate your charts.
• To process, fulfil, and support store orders.
• To manage your account and keep the service secure.
• To communicate with you about orders and support requests.
• To comply with legal obligations.

Service providers we share data with

We share only what is necessary with trusted providers who process data on our behalf:

• Printful: order fulfilment and shipping (receives your shipping details).
• Stripe and PayPal, payment processing. Card details are entered directly with the payment provider; we do not receive or store full card numbers.
• Google Maps Platform, geocoding your entered place text into coordinates.
• Email provider, sending transactional and support emails.
• Google Analytics, measuring which pages are read and where visitors arrive from. Only if you have agreed to analytics cookies; nothing is sent to Google otherwise.

Cookies

Essential cookies keep you signed in and remember what is in your cart. The site cannot work without them, so they are set without asking.

Analytics cookies are only set if you choose them. We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages people read and where they arrive from, which is how we decide what to write more of. Nothing from Google loads at all until you press Accept on the cookie notice: no script, no cookie, no request. If you press No thanks, or simply close the notice, none of it ever runs.

Google Analytics records your approximate location, device and browser, the pages you visit and the site you arrived from. Your IP address is truncated before it is stored, and we have not enabled advertising features, ad personalisation or the sharing of your data with Google for advertising purposes.

To change your mind later, clear this site’s data in your browser settings and the choice will be asked again on your next visit. You can also block cookies entirely through your browser, and the site will still work.

Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

Your rights

Depending on your location (including under UK/EU GDPR and, where applicable, US state laws such as the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email support@memento-astra.com.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Children

Our service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
