What a yearly reading is for
A year is the timeframe where the slow planets matter and the fast ones stop being interesting. Jupiter changes sign about once a year and Saturn about every two and a half, and one of those crossings is usually the whole story of the year.
It is also the only timeframe that contains every eclipse. There are four to seven a year, they arrive in pairs about a fortnight apart, and the tradition reads them as the moments when matters are taken out of your hands.
So a yearly reading describes a handful of large movements rather than forecasting events. Nothing here predicts what will happen to you. It says what the sky does, and what the tradition has long read into it.
